Shift Engineer
Salary: £47,631
Hours: 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off (2 days/2 nights 7-7’s). They do 7 sets of shifts and then have an 18-day break. They end up having 5 x 18 day breaks per year. 2 x 35-minute paid breaks per 12hr shift

Fixing machine faults occurring as part of the normal shift activity.
Fast response to line breakdowns affecting production and liaising extensively with the Extrusion Shift Manager.
Carrying out preventative maintenance activities and routine safety inspections.
Fault finding and diagnostics in reactive breakdown or planned situations.
Planned preventative maintenance on a variety of production machinery to include extruders and site services.
Ensure all breakdowns are dealt with promptly and efficiently whilst ensuring that all PPM schedules are maintained.
Support project development
Follow and encourage stringent HSE and standard company practices.
Fully engage with the operations team to provide proactive support to the plant and equipment, maximising production output.
