About the Role:
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of students who require both academic guidance and emotional support. Your expertise will help create a safe and nurturing environment where students can thrive, rebuild their confidence, and develop coping strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group support to students dealing with emotional and behavioural challenges.
Assist in the implementation of personalized learning plans to meet each student's needs.
Employ effective behaviour management techniques to promote a positive learning atmosphere.
Foster trusting relationships with students to encourage open communication and engagement.
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor and report on student progress.
Develop and facilitate therapeutic activities that promote emotional well-being and resilience.Requirements:
Experience working with young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, or abuse.
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
A deep understanding of mental health needs and a commitment to supporting vulnerable students.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Relevant qualifications or training in mental health support or education are desirable but not essential.What We Offer:
