As the Operations Manager, you will enjoy a broad and varied role with a high level of autonomy. Working as an integrator between the two Company Directors and the rest of the team you will be responsible for maintaining the current service levels and driving the business forward.
The Company: Grumpies Kitchen produce and supply a wide variety of handmade, fresh food produce (cakes, pies, pastries etc.) to the hospitality industry across the southwest of England. This small and friendly business has been established for over 35 years and in that time has built a reputation for providing high-end, top-quality produce and delivering a customer experience, second to none.
The Person: The successful Operations Manager will be a highly driven, motivational and supportive leader with broad commercial, strategic and operational experience. You will have worked in a management role in a service orientated and expanding business and will have the vision, energy and experience required to make a real impact on the future growth of the business. Knowledge of the hospitality or food sector would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.

Salary and Benefits: £45-60,000 (dependant on experience) + bonus + benefits including 28 days holiday + pension + free parking + flexible working hours.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Lead, manage and motivate the team, overseeing any HR matters arising.
* Business Planning: Take responsibility for the successful operation of the business, working with the Company Directors to develop strategic direction, translating this plan into defined operational objectives and producing M.I to support with reporting at monthly board meetings.
* Business Development: Take responsibility for the strategy and implementation of business development initiatives, considering new clients, emerging markets, product range etc.
* Customer Relationship Management: Take responsibility for quality standards and optimising service levels, rectifying any problems that arise and ensuring the delivery of an outstanding customer experience.
* Production: Work with the Production Manager to ensure adequate staffing (chefs, drivers) and stock levels (quality, availability etc.) are maintained to achieve the required production levels, reviewing suppliers as necessary.
* Finance: Work with the Office Manager to oversee the commercial wellbeing of the business and ensure that profitability is optimised.
* Operational Efficiencies: Review operational and technical processes and procedures, identifying problems and inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
Operations Manager Skills and Experience:
* Leadership experience, with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to support, motivate and influence at all levels.
* A strong relationship builder with a successful track record of achieving growth through Business Development and Customer Relationship Management.
* Commercially astute with experience of adding value on both a strategic and operational level.
* Driven and goal focused, confident working in a fast paced and evolving environment.
* Exceptional levels of communication, both verbally and in writing.
* A full UK driving license and the willingness to travel to potential and existing customers.
