THE ROLE
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant HLTA you will be supporting outstanding progress in learning. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher/ phase lead to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes:
* Supporting and leading a class
* Ability to form relationships and communicate effectively
* Manage student behaviour in the classroom and handle disruptive behaviour, always promoting a positive learning environment
* Completing pupil records with regular feedback to senior colleagues
* Flexible to cover other classes and act up where necessary
* Using your experience to lead enrichment groups
* Be involved and active with all activities we as a school may promote
* Direct junior staff
THE CANDIDATE
* Experience in a school or similar setting
* Experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
* Educated with GCSE Maths and English
* Level 3 qualification with desire to complete Level 4
* HLTA qualification OR willing to achieve within 2 years through our CPD programme
* Car driver with access to own vehicle

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
