Plant and Machinery Paint Sprayer
Responsibilities:
* Prepare surfaces of plant machinery and equipment for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and filling.
* Select appropriate paint materials and colors for specific projects.
* Set up and operate paint spraying equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
* Apply paint coatings to plant machinery and equipment using spraying, brushing, or rolling techniques.
* Maintain uniformity and quality throughout the painting process, ensuring smooth finishes and coverage.
* Monitor drying times and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper curing.
* Follow paint specifications, project instructions, and safety guidelines with accuracy.
* Inspect finished painted surfaces for defects, imperfections, or missed spots and make necessary touch-ups.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and equipment.
* Collaborate with team members to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and practices at all times.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Plant and Machinery Paint Sprayer or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of paint materials, equipment, and techniques in automotive or industrial painting.
* Familiarity with surface preparation, priming, and quality control processes.
* Ability to match paint colors and create uniform finishes.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
* Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of health and safety protocols in paint spraying environments.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
