Production Manager Overview -
Oversee all aspects of production operations, including health and safety, production planning, quality control, cost management, and efficiency improvements.Production Manager responsibilities include -
Manage the production team, performance reviews, recruitment, and disciplinary actions.
Ensure quality standards are met and implement strategies to reduce defects and rework.
Manage variable costs, labour utilisation, and productivity to achieve cost targets.
Maintain consistent production levels and address bottlenecks.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and failures.
Drive 6S implementation and utilise lean tools to improve operational efficiency.
Work with engineering and quality departments to support new product introductions, operational improvements, and problem-solving.Desirable Production Manager skillset and education -
Experience working in a similar role (Production Supervisor, etc.).
Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement/Lean tools and techniques.
Experience in delivering Health and Safety initiatives.
