Salary: £85-£95 per day

GSL Education London is looking for a committed and empathetic PMLD Support Assistant for one of its client schools in Newham. The ideal candidate would offer crucial assistance to students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, ensuring a secure and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with PMLD.
* Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
* Support students with their physical, emotional, and social needs.
* Assist with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and mobility.
* Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of students.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student care.
* Maintain accurate records of students' progress and well-being.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with severe special educational needs, particularly PMLD.
* Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to supporting students with complex needs.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to assist with personal care tasks in a respectful and sensitive manner.
* Basic understanding of child development and learning strategies.
Desirable:
* Relevant qualifications or training in special education or childcare.
* Experience working in a special school or similar setting.
You are required to have the following:
* The Right to Work in the UK
* An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us
* Two professional child related references
* An Updated CV
