A full time Senior HR Consultant role, initially agency for up to 12 weeks with potential for a contract with RMBC for up to 12 months. Working as part of a dedicated muti-disciplinary team for a significant project within Provider Services which forms part of Adult Care and Integration.
This element of the service employs 450 staff and delivers services across a broad range of areas. The service currently consists of a range of care and support services which operate across a range of disciplines including:
• Lord Hardy Court – Dementia and IMC
• Davies Court – Dementia and IMC
• Reablement
• Rothercare and Assistive Technology
• Extra Care schemes (Bakersfield, Potteries and Stag Willow)
• Reach Day Services (Elliot Centre and Maple Avenue)
• Supported Living (Sandygate and Acres View)
• Shared Lives
• Parkhill Lodge
• Conway Crescent
The post holder will be the designated HR professional supporting a change programme to implement a Future Operating Model.
To deliver the required changes, it is proposed to establish a project team to drive forward the project, including :
• Programme Manager
• Senior HR Officer
• Commissioning Officer
• Development Officer
This is a key role supporting the HR Business Partner to deliver high level specialist HR advice, guidance
and operational support to managers and employees ensuring that council policies and procedures are
followed appropriately. Undertaking projects at either a corporate or service level to deliver workforce
solutions and support the HRBP in the delivery of Workforce Plan objectives.
The post holder will supervise HR Consultants in delivery of the full employee lifecycle and change
management, providing appropriate support and guidance as required. Developing effective working
relationships with managers and employees of all levels, and trade union representatives to deliver
solutions on a range of HR/workforce issues, recommending and influencing action or support as
appropriate.
This role is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Council’s HR policies and
procedures, and the implementation of improvements to procedures and best practice guidance.
Developing and managing the delivery of HR related learning and development events for managers to
build and improve individual and organisational capability.
