MFK Recruitment are lucky enough to be working with a major regional law firm whose Corporate & Commercial team is dedicated to offering practical and innovative legal solutions to clients across a wide range of industries.
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Corporate & Commercial Lawyer to join their growing team and contribute to the success of their clients and the firm.
What is the role?
* Advise clients on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, joint ventures, and shareholder agreements
* Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, service contracts, distribution agreements, and licensing arrangements
* Manage the legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and disposals, including due diligence, documentation, and post-transaction matters
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering proactive advice and ensuring exceptional service delivery
What are we looking for?
* We are seeking an experienced candidate with 3-6 years' PQE (pre-qualification experience may also be considered) and a proven ability to manage their own caseload
* The ideal candidate will have experience in both corporate and commercial law and a strong desire to expand their commercial expertise and practice. This role presents a significant opportunity to shape the future of the firm's commercial offering
* Knowledge of employment law, particularly in drafting contracts, director’s service agreements, and the TUPE Regulations, is desirable but not essential
* Experience in handling a broad range of commercial matters is preferred, including but not limited to contracts, tender processes, franchise agreements, distribution agreements, and e-commerce
* A passion for business development is key, with an expectation to contribute to the team’s marketing initiatives and help shape the firm’s business development strategy
