Prosthetist Roehampton
We are looking for a Prosthetist tojoin our team in Roehampton.
The role holder will be an integral member of the clinical team and willprovide mentoring support to graduates and students.
The prosthetic department at Queen Marys Hospital consists of a largeMDT including prosthetists, orthotists, consultants, nurses, physiotherapists,occupational therapists, a psychologist and wider referring teams. The roleholder will be instrumental in working closely with the prosthetic team toadvance and improve the delivery of the service.
At Roehampton, there is an emphasis on putting the patient first and a focus on improvingthe lives of individuals through innovation and service development.
In addition to clinical work, the successful candidate will use evidence-based practice and undertakeclinical audit in line with the requirements of clinical governance.
Opcare have been providing the prostheticservice in Roehampton since 2008 and have recently been re-awarded the contract,this role is an excellent opportunity to advance and improve the delivery ofthe service.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Use a range ofshape capture methods to successfully fit and deliver prostheses in a timelymanner.
Mentor students,graduates and clinical apprentices.
Treat all userswith dignity keeping them informed on their prosthetic treatment and the basisfor actions/advice.
Engagewith any patient and business-led objectives.
Support and assistthe clinical lead and assistant clinical lead with reporting tasks as required.
Support the teamto meet all KPI targets set throughout the year.
To liaise with theWorkshop Manager to address identified quality problems and assist in providingeffective solutions, thus minimising unnecessary wastage.
Use IT systemssuch as REHAPP to correctly record patient details and to processorders/deliveries.
Agree objectiveswith your manager and report regularly on progress.
Practice withinthe code of ethics and guidelines of the HCPC.
Participate incontinuing professional development and ensure your CPD portfolio ismaintained.
Participate inclinical audit.

10. BSc Prosthetics & Orthotics
11. Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist
12. HND Prosthetics
Must also be fully HCPC Registered

Proven practicalexperience working successfully as a Prosthetist with all levels of limbdifference.
Upper limbexperience preferred but not essential.
