Adept Resourcing Group is thrilled to be retained by a leading manufacturing company in their search for an Assistant Sales Administrator. The Assistant Sales Administrator will work closely with the Senior Sales Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the ordering process.
As a Sales Admin Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the sales team by ensuring smooth order processing, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a basic understanding of technical drawings and tolerances, and excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery.
2. Liaise with customers to resolve order-related queries and provide updates.
3. Maintain and update the customer database and order tracking systems.
4. Assist the sales team in preparing quotes and proposals.
5. Interpret basic technical drawings and specifications to support order processing.
6. Ensure all orders meet the required tolerances and specifications as outlined in customer requests.
7. Work closely with the production team to ensure the timely fulfilment of orders.
8. Generate reports and assist with invoicing and order follow-ups.
9. Provide general administrative support to the sales department as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a sales administration or similar role is preferred.
2. Basic understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, and measurements.
3. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
6. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a willingness to learn.
