The Catering Manager is accountable for overseeing all aspects of catering services for Rutland Sailing Club. This includes regular chef duties, planning, coordination, execution, and post-event evaluations. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities: Event Planning and Coordination:
Collaborate with visiting organisers to determine their catering needs and preferences.
Develop menu options, pricing, and logistics.
Coordinate with RSC staff, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution.
Menu Development:
To create and update menus based on the needs of the Clubs customer base.
Ensure menu items meet dietary restrictions and accommodate special requests.
Team Leadership:
Train, and supervise catering staff, ensuring adherence to service standards.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and support.
Ensure that appropriate staffing levels are maintained where needed.
Customer Service:
Act as one of the main points of contact for clients and members before, during, and after events.
Address any issues or concerns promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
Logistics and Operations:
Take on regular chef duties.
Take on regular bar duties
Ensure both catering and bar stock levels are kept to a suitable level with minimal wastage.
Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in place.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and service.
Marketing and Business Development:
To promote catering services through social media, and website.
To develop and implement social events for the Club membership.
