Mobile Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical biased) required for a facilities management company.
Your new company
Your new role is for one of the largest family-owned construction, infrastructure, and support services businesses in the UK who provide hard and soft FM services, grounds maintenance, and energy services for single and multi-site locations throughout the UK.
Your new role
1. To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to a high level.
2. To undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work on equipment.
3. Update the help desk on progress of reactive works and completion of reactive/planned tasks.
4. Provide written technical reports, including routine maintenance and reactive reports.
5. Diagnosing faults on all M&E systems and rectifying as within levels of competence.
6. To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools.
7. Facilitate site attendance by specialist sub-contractors.
8. Complete all relevant documents such as Permit to Work Systems which is required.
9. Undertake job specific risk assessments.
10. To always operate with safe working practices.
11. Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
12. To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities.
13. To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate.
14. To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Recognised trade apprenticeship.
2. Experience in electrical power distribution systems/lighting systems/18th Edition.
3. City & Guilds NVQ in Servicing and Maintaining Air Conditioning.
4. Experience in HVAC control systems.
5. Preferably come from a facilities background (not essential).
6. Experience with BMS Control Systems.
7. Health & Safety Certificate.
8. A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel.
9. Enhanced DBS (this is available through Hays).
10. Able to respond efficiently to and prioritise all duties accordingly.
11. Customer service skills.
