The Role
At Charles Tyrwhitt our purpose is to “Make it easy for men to dress well” and we can’t do that without our specialist teams.
This time, we’re on the lookout for a Team Leader who will be working with Daniella from our Inbound Team in the Warehouse.
What you will be doing
1. Through an understanding of the forecasts and budgets, you will plan your team’s resources including overtime hours and taking on temporary workers to ensure we maintain service levels throughout the year.
2. You will manage the team and plan the workload on a day to day/week to week basis to ensure that the department delivers the business requirements, whilst ensuring service levels and all KPI’s are achieved, highlighting any potential delays and issues.
3. You will have a clear understanding of the ability and capability of each member of your team through the measurement of productivity and performance. Conduct frequent and regular 1-1 meetings with each team member and, where appropriate, agree a training and development plan for them.
4. Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for the team and complete formal HR related meetings and documentation such as return to work interviews, holiday approvals, absence management and annual appraisals.
5. Build and demonstrate an in-depth operational awareness of all areas of the business, working closely with the Shift Manager sharing thoughts and ideas on how to move the site forward.
6. Develop, implement, and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, whilst understanding and actively promoting our core values and behaviours.
What we are looking for
The Inbound Team Leader role specifically requires someone with exceptional management and leadership skills with previous experience of managing a team of 15 or more within a distribution or retail environment. You’ll have excellent communication skills and will be IT literate.
