Our friendly and high-performing Income Management team are responsible for income collection as well as providing guidance to customers on subjects like benefits and income maximisation. Youll manage a patch of around 1000 homes, taking the time to develop relationships with customers. You will provideadvice and support to those having difficulties with rent payments with a focus on tenancy sustainment. A strong customer focus and a willingness to go the extra mile to reflect our organisational values are essential.
Experience in housing or benefits advice would be helpful. Someone who can independently think around problems or work collaboratively with other departments. Coming up with solutions whilst delivering the best customer experience possible.
It is a vital role, and is essential in helping us provide safe, secure and warm homes to over 100,000 people. More than that, its about building trust, developing relationships and enabling people to achieve more and build a brighter future for themselves.
Thisis a full-time, 9-month fixed-term contractrole coveringthe Worcestershire (WR1 1RE) andHerefordshire regions including Evesham, Pershore, Ross on Wye and Leominster.An Enhanced DBS check as well as a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
In this role, we want you to bring:
* Experience in a front-line customer-facing role within a general needs housing environment, or a similar background relevant to income collection
* An understanding of housing benefit, universal credit and welfare reform legislation would be an advantage
* Strong communication skills, with colleagues and customers alike, in an engaging and welcoming way
* A positive attitude and a consistent, engaged team player. Proactive and able to prioritise your workload
* A willingness to find a solution for customer's individual needs, including effectively negotiating repayment arrangements
* Good IT skills, attention to detail, and an excellent work ethic
* A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
