Job summary
Step into a fabulous career with City Health Care Partnership (CHCP) Podiatry Service. CHCP are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated podiatrist to join the Hull team at a Band 5 level. The successful candidate will be supported to develop the role, working in community clinics and patients homes in both Hull and the neighbouring villages and towns of picturesque East Yorkshire. The individual will work autonomously to treat a range of foot conditions including nail surgery and musculoskeletal assessments.
Main duties of the job

Continuous professional development will be encouraged through regular appraisals and supervisions with additional opportunities to participate in audit and research projects.
The successful candidate must: - Have a degree in podiatry - Have a driving licence, as travel to and from clinics and patients across the region will be required - Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Essential
1. Degree in Podiatry or Diploma plus equivalent podiatric knowledge/experience
2. State Registration with the Health Care Professions Council
Desirable
3. Evidence of current CPD/formal qualifications at an advanced level degree plus equivalent experience of specialist podiatric conditions or Post Graduate specialist qualification
Knowledge
Essential
4. A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area, NICE Guidance, Falls Prevention, Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion
5. Knowledge of podiatry models of practice, standardised assessments and their use
6. Standard IT skills
Desirable
7. Full understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, NSF, Social Inclusion
8. Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
9. Working knowledge of CHCP CIC policies and procedures

10. Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in mental health/learning disability clinical practice areas
11. Successful completion of preceptorship
