Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities Service
Are you the ideal candidate to make the difference to our service user’s lives? We have an exciting opportunity to join our management team within Rushcliffe Care and lead our small learning difficulty site in Whitwick.
Hayes Close is a small residential home providing person-centred care for adults with learning and physical difficulties for life, with registration for up to 7 service users.
The Role
1. You will be responsible for the overall management of the Service and its resources and budgets, ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework and Care Standards Act. This will be achieved by ensuring the highest quality of service is provided for the service users through their holistic person-centred care planning process and that staff are encouraged and supported to achieve to their full potential to secure, sustain and promote the reputation of the care service. Working in conjunction with commissioners of services to provide excellence and value for money.
2. An important element is the requirement to lead, manage and supervise and support the staff team, through exceptional standards of ‘hands on’ effective leadership, and role modelling, ensuring that Rushcliffe Care Group policies are implemented fully and consistently.
3. Would have responsibility for gaining and maintaining at least the CQC rating of ‘Good’ for the home while actively striding for improvements.
The Ideal Registered LD Care Home Manager
4. QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
5. Excellent understanding of the regulatory responsibilities of a Registered Manager and the law relating to care services
6. Ability to actively market and promote the home in a positive personal and professional profile within the community
7. Experience of improving CQC ratings, working towards Outstanding.
8. Demonstrable values and a commitment to leading and supporting a diverse team of staff.
9. Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to home care services and risk management
10. The ability to develop and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for staff and residents.
11. Emphasising professional development and teamwork at all times.
12. Experience in building positive working relationships with clients, their families, staff and other health and social care professionals.
13. Experience in managing and developing an effective staff team including recruitment, training, supporting and supervising staff.
14. Shifts are worked 5 over 7 days.
