Hays HR are honoured to be exclusively partnering with an established organisation in Swansea. Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated HR/People Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role offers a salary of up to £55,000 per annum, company discounts, a generous annual leave allowance, and a people-focused work environment.
Your new role
* Develop and deliver an appropriate HR strategy which supports the development of staff, ensuring effective recruitment, retention, and development of the staff team.
* Oversee the HR function ensuring all staff have comprehensive and compliant personnel reports and managers are empowered to ensure support, supervision, and annual appraisal of the staff they line manage.
* Ensure policies and procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure they are compliant with current legislation.
* Advise and support managers to deal with grievances, sickness, and issues of conduct or capability when required.
* Manage the recruitment of staff, development of role descriptions and person specifications, and ensure the recruitment process is compliant with current EDI legislation.
* Act as the first point of contact for colleagues and People Managers for all people-related enquiries, effectively leading all ER, performance, and absence management, flexible working, and talent management, in line with legislation.
* Keep up to date with changes in employment legislation/best practice to advise managers competently, providing guidance on process, attending associated meetings, and putting together ER outcome letters.
* Handle changes of employment terms and conditions, communicate changes to all relevant parties, and maintain accurate records.
* Manage all transactional processes across the employee lifecycle such as creating offer letters and contracts, onboarding new employees, conducting Right to Work checks, reference letters, probation reviews, and offboarding paperwork.
* Partner with managers in managing both short- and long-term absence.
* Partner with managers in managing conduct or performance issues.
* Coordinate the annual employee engagement survey.
* Lead key projects when they arise.
* Manage a HR Assistant and assist them with any day-to-day needs and queries.
What you'll need to succeed
* A CIPD qualification or relevant experience.
* Experience in an HR setting.
* Experience leading sensitive employee relation cases.
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organisation skills.
* Willingness to be onsite 5 days per week (no work from home option).
What you'll get in return
The organisation is offering a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience, as well as a range of benefits including a generous annual leave allowance, a subsidised car, and company discounts. All staff operate on-site 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) from 9 am until 5 pm.
