Mission and Main Objectives:
We are seeking a Regional Manager to be based at Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK Ltd (NMUK) to lead, manage and co-ordinate a team of Senior Buyers/Buyers, with purchasing responsibility for indirect scope (non BOP), in pursuit of corporate and functional objectives.
Outline of role and responsibilities:
1. You will be required to management an ‘end to end’ strategic procurement function within Non BOP Industrial scope which, includes Capex, Logistics, Energy/Facilities/MRO (final scope to be defined with successful candidate).
2. You will be required to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders internally and externally of the organisation.
3. You will be required to develop commodity strategy, control cost drivers and complete complex commercial negotiations.
4. You will be required to manage projects/sourcing and supplier panel, demonstrating performance delivery and cost reporting capability.
5. You will be required to adopt cross-functional and customer orientated approach with stakeholders to deliver objective and commercially astute decision making for the business.
6. You will be leading a team (inc. remote management) and will be required to drive best practice and manage change.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications required:
7. Background and Experience
8. Qualified to degree level or equivalent
9. Experience with end to end strategic procurement funtion
10. Commercially astute with good business acumen
11. Proven track record in negotiation skills
12. Ability to communicate with stakeholders internally and externally of the organisation
13. Strong leadership, man-management, organisation and interpersonal skills
14. Remote management skills
15. Project management / Change Management experience
16. Cross functional in approach and customer orientated
17. Demonstrated ability to develop commodity strategy, manage cost drivers and supplier management
18. Proven track record of performance delivery and cost reporting capability
19. Clear understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities as an employee and line manager
20. Language: Fluent in English
