Swindon & Wiltshire Adult Independent Sexual Violence Advisor
Salary: £24,956 increasing to £25,350 on successful completion of probation and £26,474 per annum after accreditation
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Holiday: 25 days annual holiday entitlement increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ service per annum plus bank holidays
Contract: Permanent
Key responsibilities:
* Advocate on behalf of all victims and survivors of sexual violence across the Wiltshire area
* Assess the needs of, and risks to victims/survivors of sexual abuse/violence
* Support the safeguarding and protection of victims and survivors of sexual violence
* Communicate and engage with victims and survivors of sexual violence
* Carry out an assessment to identify the needs of and risks to victims and survivors of sexual violence
* Provide access to information and support for victims and survivors of sexual violence
* Work in partnership with agencies to address sexual violence
* Support victims and survivors of sexual violence through the court process
* Establish requirements for special measures at court for victims and survivors of sexual violence
Minimum Requirements:
* Full driving license with the ability to travel across Swindon and Wiltshire
* Previous experience of working with victims of sexual assault
