A growing Ground Engineering testing company is now looking for a Laboratory Technician, near Matlock, with experience in construction materials, soil, and aggregate sampling environment. The company is an independent, successful testing company with ambitious growth plans, so for the right candidate, there will be opportunities for progression. The Laboratory Technician will be testing Materials Characterisation and the assessments of strength or stiffness on various materials through numerous methods.
Laboratory Technician Position Remuneration:
1. Salary up to £28,000 DOE
2. Contributory Pension Scheme
3. Full training and progression
4. 25 days holiday + BH
5. The hours will be 7.5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Laboratory Technician Position Overview:
1. Conduct laboratory tests on soil samples to determine their physical and mechanical properties.
2. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
3. Calibrate equipment regularly to ensure accurate measurements.
4. Document all testing procedures and results accurately.
5. Prepare detailed reports summarising test results and discoveries.
6. Assist in interpreting test results and providing insights to project managers and clients.
7. Adhere to quality control standards and protocols to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
8. Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment in the laboratory.
9. Assist with the quality management and auditing requirements under ISO 17025.
Laboratory Technician Position Requirements:
1. HNC advantageous.
2. Experience within construction materials, soil, and aggregate sampling environment.
3. Experience within materials testing.
4. Knowledge of the construction industry.
5. Knowledge of ISO 17025.
6. Live near Matlock.
7. UK Driving Licence.
