Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Early Years

£500-£550 Per Week (PAYE - No Umbrella Company)
New Directions is proud to be working with a primary school in South Manchester that is looking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in its EYFS. This role would suit an existing HLTA (Level 3/4 trained)or a primary teacher who is looking for slightly reduced responsibilities in school - on a longer-term basis. The ideal HLTA will feel confident taking groups of children and leading small sessions, group activities and also intervention. A strong understanding of EYFS framework, learning through play and phonics is essential for this role. This role is full-time and to work as part of the EYFS where the ideal HLTA will work in partnership with other members of the EYFS Team to ensure the strongest provision for student of EYFS.
* Teach some areas of the EYFS curriculum.
* Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment.
* Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges.
* Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.
* Maintain discipline.
* Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupil's development.
* Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.
* Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.
* Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
To apply the candidate must have:
* Level 3/4 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a EYFS/ primary teacher
* UK-based Experience
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum - and specifically EYFS Framework
* Able to provide Referees.
* An up-to-date DBS Check (or be willing to obtain one)
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
