The Role:
We have two exciting opportunities in our Highways & Transport Liaison team within Worcestershire. We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic Liaison Officers who will act as ambassadors for Worcestershire County Council and who will be the primary contact for all Local Member enquiries. Working closely with Members, they will offer guidance and support on all matters in our Economy & Infrastructure Directorate and will be the 'go to' officers. Good communication is essential for these roles, together with the ability to lead and motivate, whilst always adopting a politically neutral stance.
The post is varied and diverse, with no two days being the same. If you thrive on new challenges, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and are an excellent communicator, then this may be just the role for you.
Liaison Officers will ensure that Worcestershire County Council's priorities and aspirations are at the heart of what they do and are managed appropriately in accordance with policies and procedures. A key element of the role is responsibility for safeguarding the political and public reputation of the County Council.
The role may, on occasions, involve working out-of-hours for which you will be paid and you’ll be part of making a difference for the people of Worcestershire by supporting major incidents such as severe weather events.
