The Role
This is a part-time role supporting secondary school students with complex needs. Working under the direction of the class teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the student can access the curriculum and thrive both academically and personally.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted interventions to support the student's social and emotional development.
* Assist the student in accessing teaching content and fully engaging in lessons.
* Manage challenging behaviour with patience and calmness.
* Maintain the student's safety and welfare at all times.
* Provide regular feedback to the class teacher and/or SENDCo.
Essential Criteria
* Previous experience working in an educational setting.
* Ability to build trusting relationships, remain calm under pressure, and use initiative.
* Patience, sensitivity, and a nurturing approach.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and needs.
