Your New Role
We have an amazing opportunity for an HGV Technician/Mechanic to join our workshop team in Surrey. Based at our Esher Depot (KT10 8AS), this role offers you more than just a job, it’s a chance to grow your career, with the opportunity to gain an HGV licence while working for Amey and progress into a Workshop Supervisor!
What You’ll Do:
* Utilise advanced diagnostic tools to identify faults and execute effective repairs.
* Dismantle and overhaul vehicle components to restore optimal functionality.
* Maintain vehicles and plant equipment to ensure efficient operation.
* Use tablets and PDAs to complete and maintain documentation, including job cards and inspections.
* Test equipment and tools, monitor workshop performance, and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols.
* Perform road tests on vehicles to confirm safety and assist with roadside breakdowns, committing to ongoing professional development.

What You’ll Bring:
Proven experience in vehicle repairs, adhering to the highest safety and compliance standards, is essential for this role.
Other Requirements:
* City & Guilds, IRTEC, or NVQ certification (desirable).
* Category C HGV license (desirable).
* Manual handling training (desirable).
* Commitment to personal development, including IOSH Working Safely and abrasive wheel training (desirable).
