Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in mainstream schools across East Devon.
In this role, you will provide one-to-one and group support, helping students access the curriculum and fully participate in school life. Working closely with class teachers and SENCos, you will implement tailored support plans and foster the development of social, emotional, and communication skills. You will also assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, utilising sensory aids, structured routines, and other strategies to enhance learning.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of SEN strategies, such as visual supports and assistive technology, is desirable, though training will be provided.
