Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced finance professional to oversee the company’s financial operations, management accounts, and support the business owner with personal finance and administrative affairs. Based in London, the successful candidate will manage the full scope of accounting and financial responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage all daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts to provide clear financial insights and reporting to the business owner. Oversee cash flow, budget forecasting, and financial planning to support business stability and future growth. Handle tax compliance, including VAT returns and corporation tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Support the business owner with personal financial administration, including banking, investment tracking, and personal expenses. Develop and implement financial controls and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in reporting. Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial service providers to ensure compliance and support business needs. Provide regular financial insights and strategic recommendations to the business owner. Stay current with changes in financial regulations and industry best practices. What are we looking for? Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally within a small business environment. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with the business owner and other stakeholders.
