My client who is a large Housing Association is looking for a Surveyor to join their team on a Permanent basis. The role will predominantly oversee and manage planned programmes covering energy efficiency works across the region of Dorset.
Strong candidates will bring experience and good knowledge in the management of all maintenance works contracts, understanding all required standards of performance, including audit, time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
They will produce regular reports on supplier performance ensuring that early remedial action can be taken under the contract and will be responsible for all contract management from inception through to completion.
They will be working with our Principal Surveyor.
Your qualifications & experience - Ideally, you will have a relevant technical (HNC or higher) qualification in Building, Surveying, planning in a similar technical field or you will be able to demonstrate that you have 6 years plus of experience within this sector. You'll have a strong working knowledge of project management techniques and be comfortable supervising multi-trade contracts from initial offer to closure. Having experience in undertaking domestic and commercial building surveys and providing advice on matters such as construction defects and disrepair is key to this role.
Skills & Abilities - A strength will be your time management and you'll be experienced in working to deadlines, whilst maintaining performance and budget targets. You'll be a confident user of IT, particularly MS Office and be comfortable updating and working on a variety of systems.

Communication - You'll be a confident communicator, being able to relay complex information to contractors and customers alike with the ability to change your needs to meet the audience. You'll be comfortable communicating verbally and in writing.
You'll be out and about across your area so you're going to need a full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
