This school are regarded as one the most prestigious and leading independent schools in the country. Over the last 10 years the school as undertaken over 30m of capital projects and plans are being developed for the next 10 years including significant upgrades and new state of the art building.
In this role the construction project manager will take a lead role in managing and delivering major site projects. You will have a close working relationship woth the director of estates who has a strategic role in planning and developing the major capital projects.
This is a hands on role that requires a combination of construction/ site expertise and project management skills.

The role
*Provide pre-contract advice on programme, buildability, risks, and opportunities.
*Develop and update construction programmes.
*Assist in the development of contractor's proposals.
*Maintain high standards of health and safety on all sites.
*Demonstrate good contractual awareness.
*Oversee the day to day running Of Sites to ensure they are well organised, tidy and safe, minimising the impact on the operation of the school.
*Plan staff resource effectively and manage the construction team and subcontractors on site.
*Oversee the employment of subcontractors as necessary.
*Review workmanship and maintain quality control of end product.
*In conjunction with the Director of Estates and Grounds, act as the school's designated individual under the Building Safety Act 2022 and the requirement for a Principal Contractor.
The person
*Have a proven track record in construction project management
*Candidate would have ideally come from a trade background before moving into projects.
*Looking for a long term role
