Knowledge, skills and training
Essential criteria
1. Registration with Social Work England
2. Further specialist knowledge, or experience to Masters equivalent level.
Job specific experience
Essential criteria
3. Previous experience of working with adults, children and their families who experience mental health difficulties.
4. Experience of working with young people and people using mental health services who present with complex needs.
5. Experience of multi-agency working
6. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Children’s Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
7. Understanding of philosophies, professional social work issues and legal frameworks underpinning specific client groups.
8. Documented evidence of continuous professional development
9. Understanding of philosophies, professional social work issues and legal frameworks underpinning specific client groups.
Desirable criteria
10. Experience of working within in-patient services.
11. Experience of working in forensic services.
Information Technology
