We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Support Worker to join a school that specializes in supporting children with ASD. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students, helping them thrive both academically and socially in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD, adapting to their individual needs.
* Assist with classroom activities and ensure the child is fully engaged in learning.
* Support the child with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to implement tailored strategies.
* Encourage the child’s independence and boost their confidence.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build a trusting relationship with the child.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, or Child Development (desirable but not essential).
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Registration to the EWC(Education workforce council)
