Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Employment Solicitor/Legal Representative to join our Employment Law team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of employment law and represent employees in Employment Tribunal matters. This role requires a proactive approach to resolving disputes, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice on employment matters to trade union members.
2. Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in employment law and best practices.
3. Manage a Tribunal caseload effectively, ensuring timely progress on all matters.
Skills
1. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients' interests.
2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear explanations of complex legal concepts.
3. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assess cases thoroughly.
4. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
6. A solid understanding of current employment legislation and relevant case law.
