We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our HSEQ Team at our Retford, UK site. Reporting into the HSEQ Manager you will assist with the development, implementation and management of the day-to-day functions of the business management system and help drive the continual improvement process.

Trelleborg Polyurethane Products provides innovative polymer-based solutions for key industries within the Ship Building, Rail and Industry sectors. We are a standalone product area positioned within one of three Business Areas within the Trelleborg Group, who have a total of around 21,200 employees around the world.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
1. Ongoing management of processes, procedures integral to the business.
2. Plan and conduct internal and supplier audits.
3. Coordinate, evaluate, and assist in developing action plans and follow up of audit findings
4. Facilitate client-initiated audits.
5. Ensure that corrective actions are closed out in a timely manner and resolved to client’s satisfaction.
6. Support activities to preserve ISO certifications.
7. Assist with and collating data for the monthly quality report to effectively communicate the status of compliance, including current issues and status of resolutions.
8. Engage in ongoing communication with customers, acting as liaison to resolve outstanding quality issues, provide audit follow-up, and ensure customer happiness.
9. Ensure that established quality and process procedures remain effective.
10. Plan assessments of the company’s critical suppliers/vendors
11. Review and approve process and QC documentation to release products for distribution.
12. Maintain training evidence to ensure all employees receive all vital training.
13. Ensure that the business management system documented evidence is maintained.
14. Providing guidance for staff questions and solutions for quality issues
15. Supervise investigations of production/quality problems with manufactured products.
16. Creation of certificate of conformities
17. Conducting FAIR’s (First article inspection reports)
The ideal candidate:
The position calls for an individual who holds a recognised qualification (at the least ONC / HNC / HND) in mechanical and production engineering or relevant fields. Ideally a minimum of five years manufacturing environment and 3 years Quality related experience. You will have previous working experience on Quality Management Systems and performing QMS audits. An understanding of H&S requirements would be advantageous. You must also be able to demonstrate confident communication and problem-solving skills.
