Due to expansion and a healthy order book, the company has a requirement for an experienced Service Engineer who is looking for career progression.
The Role
Ideally, the company is seeking an experienced Service Engineer who is electrically biased but also has strong mechanical skills. The candidate must have excellent technical knowledge, a confident manner, and be willing to travel with their work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily diagnostic testing, troubleshooting and repair of customer equipment at HQ and on customer sites.
2. Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
3. Management and mentoring of other Service Engineers.
4. Maintain and enhance customer relationships.
5. Produce timely and accurate service reports.
6. Ensure all calls are attended promptly and within set SLA.
7. Identifying commercial opportunities and promoting the business.
8. Ensure compliance with set HSSE guidelines.
Required Skills
1. Needs good electrical experience and relevant qualifications.
2. Comfortable with mechanical work including Pneumatics; confident in the use of hand tools.
3. Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with end customers.
4. Flexible approach with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
5. Leadership skills and good communication skills.
The Rewards
The rewards for the successful candidate are excellent. The company provides first-class training with continued support from their management team. They are willing to pay a starting salary of £35,000 per annum (rising after probation) plus overtime, pension, and holidays. The on-target earnings (OTE) for this role is in the region of £45,000 in year one. The company also offers additional incentives, career progression opportunities, a competitive pension scheme, and a generous holiday allowance.
