English Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Position in Levenshulme
Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time role begins in December and extends through the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent based on performance. Weekly pay ranges from £419.25 to £500.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support students across various English classes, working closely with the teaching staff to foster a positive learning environment and improve student engagement and performance in English.
Key Responsibilities:
* Individual and Small Group Support: Work one-on-one or with small groups of students needing extra assistance in English, helping them to strengthen their literacy skills, comprehension, and writing abilities. Support students with varying skill levels, tailoring assistance to meet their unique needs.
* Classroom Assistance: Aid the lead teacher in delivering lessons, maintaining focus in the classroom, and ensuring all students have the resources they need for success. Engage actively in lessons to help create an inclusive and interactive environment.
* Literacy Intervention: Assist with literacy intervention programs aimed at supporting students who may be struggling with reading, grammar, vocabulary, or essay writing. Provide practical strategies for improvement and motivation.
* Progress Tracking: Monitor and record students' progress, identifying key areas for growth and providing teachers with actionable insights on student development. Help evaluate student achievements and areas for targeted support.
* Academic Mentorship: Serve as a positive role model and mentor, encouraging students to embrace a love for reading and critical thinking. Foster a supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and exploring ideas.
* Resource Preparation: Help prepare lesson materials, including reading handouts, comprehension exercises, and visual aids. Contribute to creating a well-organized and stimulating classroom environment.
* Exam Preparation: Provide guidance and support for exam preparation, helping students develop effective revision strategies, approach exam questions confidently, and improve their time management during assessments.
* Extra-Curricular Support: Engage in after-school English clubs or tutoring sessions, supporting students who wish to further develop their reading, writing, or analytical skills beyond the classroom.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* English Graduate: Holds a degree in English Literature, Language, or a related field with a solid foundation in literary analysis and communication skills.
* Passionate about English Education: Dedicated to helping students appreciate and excel in English, fostering a love for language and literature.
