This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the company as a Trainee Dental Nurse at our practice in Margate. You do not need any previous experience to apply for this position, so if you are interested in starting a new career in the dental sector then this is the best place to start.
Main roles and responsibilities:
1. Provide high quality Dental nursing whilst assisting each Dentist/hygienist, in all procedures, in a safe and effective manner.
2. Follow practice policies and procedures.
3. Establish, promote, and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team.
4. Assist with reception duties and perform other clerical duties if required.
Clinical Nursing:
1. Setting up the surgery and treatment trays, ready for each patient.
2. Provide chairside assistance, ensuring that the correct equipment is available.
3. Ensure the General Dental Practitioner runs on time.
4. Cleaning, sterilisation and storage of all dental equipment and instruments.
5. Ensure the surgery is kept clean & tidy, and the surfaces are always cleaned and disinfected in-between patients.
6. Make sure all hazardous and non-hazardous waste is disposed of correctly.
7. Checking of day list, ensuring the dentist has the correct patient records available.
8. Ensure the care and welfare of patients.
Requirements:
1. Advanced DBS clearance (provided by the company).
2. Proof of right to work in UK (If not a UK citizen).
3. 2 professional references will be required.
4. Photo ID/Proof of residence x 2.
5. First dose of HEP B vaccination.
