We have an excellent opportunity for a HVAC & Refrigeration Engineer to work as part of a specialist offshore team within a larger global organisation. Working on various contracts around the world the role is 90% offshore and responsible for servicing, fault finding, repairs, installation and commissioning of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment in the offshore environment.

How you will do it
9. Install, fault find, report faults, repair, commission, modify and survey refrigeration equipment in support of client contracts.
10. Monitor and control refrigeration system performance, make technically sound recommendations to offshore / onshore personnel.
11. Be aware of the contractual requirements for the work and act accordingly.
12. Liaise with site personnel, ensure safe systems of work are adhered to and maintenance management systems updated.
13. Co-operate with other departments or Tyco teams in case of multi –discipline activities.
14. Build relationships with client representatives.
15. Be flexible and adaptable in approach to work.
16. Supervise and mentor fellow Installation & Service personnel.
17. Proactively highlight and report on areas for improvement.
18. Participate in the company ‘Competence Management System’ (CMS).
19. Able to identify potential revenue opportunities on client assets.
20. Review and confirm understanding & acceptance of data/documents prior to work scope commencement.
21. Prepare and submit handover / job completion reports of site activities which enables others (unfamiliar with the project) to readily comprehend the situation and act accordingly.
22. Be able to prepare & institute methods / procedures for performing maintenance / installation / commissioning on the asset.
23. Able to understand D&IDs, P&IDs, Schematics, General Arrangement drawings, Isometrics and Block Diagrams
24. Record and submit to Project Engineer all data from site which is relevant and useful for future reference.
25. Ensure document templates are of the latest revision and once populated, are fed back to Project Engineer for review.
26. Ensure that tools and instruments provided for the work are fit for purpose, maintained in a good condition, defects reported, and all tools / equipment are returned on completion. Be proficient in the use of tools / equipment required for specific tasks.

27. City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas (Cat I) qualification
28. BOISET/MIST
29. Experience with Permit to Work systems.
30. Literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
31. Good solid understanding of relevant HVAC Standards, Regulations and Guidelines
32. Can produce comprehensive high-quality documentation.
33. Able to understand technical drawings and diagrams.
34. Able to follow operating and maintenance procedures.
35. Able to communicate effectively.
36. Happy to work on a shift rota of 12-hour days & nights 6-6
Preferred
37. Level 3 F-Gas qualification (various available)
38. CompEx and/or 18th Edition electrical qualification
39. Completed a trade apprenticeship.
