About the Role
Here in Bath and North East Somerset, we have a position available for a casual educational psychologist which offers flexibility in terms of number of hours. We will be happy to consider people wishing to carry out hybrid working. If you currently hold SPA points, we are happy to consider SPA portability in your appointment.
The Educational Psychology Service is made up of a team where psychology is at the heart of all aspects of work. We work primarily with children and young people going through the EHCNA process and offer a Consultation Service for those with EHCPs. We are also involved in supporting the work of the Virtual School. We provide training and support in a range of areas, including Emotional Literacy Support Assistants and supervision for school staff and other professionals, for example the early years Area SENCOs. The EPS was highly regarded in the Joint SEND Inspection carried out by Ofsted in March 2019.
We apply our psychological skills and knowledge to ensure the best possible outcomes and opportunities for children and young people. We work collaboratively with parent/carers, educational setting staff and other professionals working closely with children and young people. We focus on growth, change and development in all aspects of our work.
About You
We welcome experienced educational psychologists as well as those who will be completing their Doctorate training this year.
