Beverley Grammar School is a popular 11–18 boys’ comprehensive with a Joint Sixth Form with the neighbouring girls’ school. We focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, increased student attainment and achievement, and social and emotional development for all students.
You will be responsible for:
* Co-ordinating standard assessments for reading and spelling.
* Co-ordinating and running the reading pathway catch-up interventions.
* Working closely with disadvantaged students to raise the profile of reading.
* Organising and assisting whole school events aimed at creating a positive reading culture.
* Assisting with all aspects in the effective running of the Learning Resource Centre.
* Providing supervision and assistance to all users of the Learning Resource Centre.
* Maintenance of the computerised Library Management Programme.
Hours: 21 per week, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8.30am – 4pm including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break during term-time only as part of a permanent contract.
NB: Lunch break cannot be taken between 12.30pm & 1.30pm.
