PositionOverview:
The successful candidatewill be instrumental in empowering students to develop theirartistic skills and flourish within an International Baccalaureate(IB) curriculum. This role entails fostering a dynamic and creativelearning environment that encourages independent thoughtcollaboration and a lifelong love ofart.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Developand deliver the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB DiplomaProgramme (DP) Visual Arts curriculum to students in Grades 6 to12.
* Design and implement engaging art projectsand activities that cater to diverse learning needs andstyles.
* Prepare and mark a wide range ofassessments following MYP and DPprotocols.
* Differentiate instruction to meetthe diverse learning needs and styles of students including thosefor whom English may not be their firstlanguage.
* Teach and promote art appreciationand cultural understanding using a range of studentcenteredteaching strategies resources andtechnology.
* Embed IB Approaches to Learning inthe curriculum delivery.
* Collaborate with otherfaculty members to establish interdisciplinarylinks.
* Engage in ongoing professionaldevelopment to stay abreast of the latest art educationadvancements.
EducationandQualifications:
* Degreeor equivalent qualification in Art Art Education or a relatedfield.
* Teaching qualification (QTS orequivalent)
* International Baccalaureatecurriculum experience (preferred)
* Fluency inboth verbal and writtenEnglish
Knowledge andSkills:
* Full knowledgeof the subject matter and latest developments in arteducation
* Ability to deliver outstandinglessons using diverse teaching strategies andresources
* Enthusiasm and passion for teachingvisual arts
* Adaptability to meet the diverseneeds of learners
