The Opportunity: We are currently recruiting on behalf of an exclusive client for a Senior Accountant to join their established team in Llandudno. As an ACCA-qualified accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, tax compliance, and the overall financial health of the business. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and year-end reports, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards. Tax Compliance: Manage corporate tax returns, VAT filings, and liaise with HMRC to ensure accurate and timely submissions. Client Engagement: Work directly with our exclusive client, providing tailored financial advice and solutions that support their business objectives. Budgeting & Forecasting: Support strategic decision-making by managing budgeting and forecasting processes and providing financial analysis. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior members of the finance team, ensuring their professional development and growth. Cash Flow Management & Controls: Oversee cash flow management, implement robust internal controls, and safeguard the financial integrity of the business. Skills and Experience: ACCA Qualification: Fully qualified ACCA accountant with a deep understanding of UK accounting practices. Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a senior accounting role. Client-Focused: Ability to manage relationships with exclusive, high-profile clients, offering them expert financial guidance and solutions. Technical Expertise: Proficient in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks, with a strong grasp of tax legislation and financial reporting standards. Leadership: Experience in managing and mentoring junior accountants or finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver financial insights that drive business performance. Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly to both clients and stakeholders.
