Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator - Exeter office
Griffin Chartered Accountants are looking for a well-organised individual to join the firm’s outsourced finance department, providing bookkeeping and payroll services to our clients. The role could be either full or part-time (minimum 25 hours per week) and will be based in our Exeter office, in Pynes Hill. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of bookkeeping experience. Payroll experience is preferred but not essential. The role would involve doing the bookkeeping, VAT returns, CIS returns, and payrolls for a number of our clients. The bookkeeping is mainly done using Xero cloud-based software.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Bank reconciliations
2. Preparing VAT returns
3. Preparation of sales invoices
4. Preparing supplier payment runs
As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will work directly with the clients to maintain their financial records. Therefore, good interpersonal skills and organisation are both key.
Salary dependent upon experience.
