We are looking for a talented Executive Chef to join our team at one of our local schools; John Colet. This is a fantastic opportunity for Chefs in the hospitality industry who want to deliver exceptional food and undertake work that fits in with a family friendly lifestyle.
As an Executive Chef within a Culinera school you will be responsible for:
-To operate, monitor and cook restaurant quality food - fresh from scratch every single day showcasing bright, tasty food.
-Lead health and safety in the kitchen and ensure that the preparation of all food for sale/service is to prepared within exemplary standards of hygiene and food safety, ensuring that all members of subordinate members of staff adhere to these procedures on health, safety and hygiene to at all times.
-As an Exec Chef you will ensure thatall production, storage and service areas and equipment are maintained in a hygienic and clean condition, demonstrating a thorough understanding of food safety and health and safety legislation on a daily basis. Practices are to be monitored and reviewed frequently to ensure standards are set and maintained effectively.
-Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team and maintain brilliant communication with the other members of the team such as any food running out and pre-empt any delays.

We are looking for people with:
-Strong Chef background demonstrating a progressive career to date with a willingness to learn new skills and take some responsibility.
-The ability to be adaptable and be flexible as necessary. Reliable, Honest and able to demonstrate an open attentive approach to customer service.
-Have knowledge of the current food trends with a real passion for food and customer service.
-The ability to demonstrate understanding of how to cost and plan menus accurately and be able to work within set budgets and have a commercial approach.
-Team working abilities, Listening skills, the ability to work on own initiative, impeccable personal presentation, hygiene and behaviour to others, Food hygiene certificate preferred.
-The ability to be adaptable and be flexible as necessary. Reliable, Honest and able to demonstrate an open attentive approach to customer service.
About the role:
-You will be required to work 210 days per year - lots of time off to follow your other passions or spend time with your family
-The role will be contracted to Monday to Friday - 6.30am - 4.30pm - No weekends or split shifts. Some evenings required for parents evenings or special events
