Quality Controller
Circa £26,000 p/a DOE, HD9, Early Friday finish, 28 days leave, Mon to Thurs 7:30-4pm & Fri 7.30 - 12.30pm, Pension, Parking, Main Bus Route, T/P.
Job Role
Due to continued success our Huddersfield based client who are a specialist in the design, manufacture, supply and servicing of bespoke industrial equipment, are looking for a Quality Controller to join their team.
Duties:
Be the first point of contact when dealing with any customer issues or queries
Creating rework job cards for internal and customer issues
Record and follow rework job cards
Fulfil the CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) requirements and investigate to the root cause of the problem
Liaise with Supervisors, Managers and Directors
Read and understand drawings, job pack instructions and customers' specifications
Complete weekly and monthly analysis for data collection
Complete Certificates of Conformity, if required
Complete customer's non-conformance reports, when required
Report any errors or major discrepancies to the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director immediately so corrective actions can be taken
Accountable for accepting responsibility for quality aspects and actively participating in quality efforts and supporting the Quality Policy
Discuss the inspection results with the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director
Responsible in maintaining compliance with the Quality Management SystemRequirements
Computer literacy is essential
Experience metal manufacturing would be an advantage, but not essential
Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures and by reporting any safety concerns.
Experience in sheet metal manufacturing would be an advantage
