Why This Role Matters As Accounts Payable Finance Assistant, you’ll play a key part in keeping our business running smoothly. From ensuring invoices are paid on time to building strong relationships with suppliers, your work will help us maintain great cashflow and avoid disruptions. This role is all about accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork – and you’ll be making a real impact every day. What You’ll Be Doing Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll: Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox. Ensure invoices are properly authorised, coded, and posted accurately. Prepare regular and ad-hoc payment runs. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries promptly. Respond to supplier queries and build strong relationships. Oversee the Employee Expenses mailbox and handle related queries. How Success Looks Success in this role means maintaining a clean and accurate Accounts Payable ledger, free from disputes or anomalies. You’ll establish strong relationships with suppliers and internal budget holders, ensuring smooth payment processes with minimal ad-hoc payment runs. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be essential in keeping everything running seamlessly. What It Takes We’re looking for someone who is: Detail-oriented with excellent numeracy and communication skills. Comfortable handling large volumes of data quickly and accurately. Organised, deadline-driven, and great at managing their time. Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Bonus Points If You Have: Experience working in a high-volume purchase ledger environment.
