Lead Offshore Consents Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in Scotland
Responsibilities
* Management and execution of the consent strategy and project management for all offshore elements required to achieve development consent for the Project.
* Reporting to the Consents Team Manager.
* Leading and supporting the development of the Offshore Consent Manager.
* Management of consultants and liaison with the wider consents and project team.
* Providing consenting advice and managing offshore consenting risk for complex workstreams.
* Lead engagement with key external stakeholders.
Requirements
* A background and knowledge in offshore wind and/or offshore/marine ecology.
* Direct experience of consenting and preferably experience of NSIP/DCO and Marine Licensing processes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach when addressing consenting issues coupled with a solution minded outset.
* Skills to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
* A commercial approach to work, challenging colleagues, stakeholders and contractors to manage risk, achieve viable solutions to consenting issues and support overall project objectives.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to produce high quality work to deadlines and work flexibly to respond to changing priorities.
* Work effectively both independently, and as part of the team, deputising for senior colleagues and engaging in strategic discussions on complex technical and environmental issues.
