Job Description: The Visual Merchandising Manager is accountable for the delivery of all Elizabeth Arden permanent and promotional merchandising initiatives. Ensuring all Visual Merchandising elements showcase our premium brand positioning and are consistent with Global Visual Merchandising Guidelines. The role requires close working relationships with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Global, Retail Operations, Beauty Consultants as well as external suppliers. This is a head office position that may require occasional attendance at in-store installations within the UK and Ireland. You will have a significant budget responsibility. Project Manage UK Permanent Merchandising Initiatives for Prestige Driving project timelines with internal colleagues and external suppliers, therefore ensuring the timely delivery of Update Kits Working collaboratively with the brand team to create the planogram brief for each update, then briefing suppliers with NPD dimensions / samples Working collaboratively with Global, Marketing and Suppliers to design, develop & manufacture new counters for dedicated spaces, managing all stakeholders to achieve approval Manage counter refits, moves and store closures with suppliers and retailers Manage communications and expectations of all stakeholders on significant merchandising projects Facilitate regular meetings between VM and Marketing to ensure all stakeholders have accurate information on product launches & promotions in order to execute on time, within budget, with excellence. Evaluate suppliers periodically in order to optimize supply chain and operations as well as value engineering and reducing costs wherever possible, initiating tenders if required, with support from Procurement. Artwork approvals for all new visuals and pricing Periodically update EA Prestige Master VM database Create presentations for Retailer Strategy Meetings/ Internal Global Meetings and present when required Project Manage Promotional Merchandising Initiatives for Prestige & Fragrance Build briefs, including AW links, copy, snapshots etc with support and guidance from Brand team Design/contribute and suggest creative solutions for POS executions – at all times adhering to Global VMG’s (employ a suite of suppliers to lean on for Creative Designs) Lead the brief, design, development and manufacture of all promotional POS elements, including but not limited to visuals, glorifiers, FSDUS, FSVs, Duratrans, window displays and trays. Work closely with, Brand Team and Retailers on POS designs, prototype sign off and production. Work collaboratively with external agencies to manage project CPAs to execute POS on time and within budget, managing expectations and communication with all relevant project stakeholders. Host fortnightly meetings with Marketing to ensure all stakeholders have accurate information on POS activations. Lead the monthly PK update process. Design, create and update a local VM Training Module to impart knowledge and guidance to the Field Team. Create presentations for Retailer Strategy Meetings/ Internal Global Meetings and present when required Visual Merchandising / Project Management experience in this/similar field, 7 years’ experience Good Knowledge of beauty environment and Understanding of UK Prestige retail environments Proficient in design packages: Adobe Photoshop., Illustrator, InDesign, AutoCad, SketchUp, Displayer Planogram Software. Knowledge of Merchandising & Project Management Must have experience in leading and managing third party merchandising suppliers Understands various aspects of permanent merchandising including; materials, construction and production processes Must be able to manage multiple projects and multi-task effectively Project Manage Brand & Retailer Eventing for Prestige & Fragrance Ensure all pertinent information is received from retailers or event site spaces prior to briefing (dimensions, access, power, safety requirements, loading times etc) Lead the brief, design, development and manufacture of all eventing sites Manage communication with suppliers, ensuring all correct documentation is available (RAMS etc) Work closely with, Brand Team and NAMS on site designs, prototype sign off and production. Be present during the build and implementation of the event site Ensure stock, testers, hygiene, devices are ordered in advance and facilitate delivery Budget Management Build bottom-up budgets for Perm & Promo POS in line with annual budgeting timelines Raise TOAs & PO’s with NAMS and Finance, track and ensure Capex & DME is approved before work commences Forecast and manage Capex and DME budgets and monthly forecasting, working closely with Finance, NAMs and retailers obtain clarity of future projects Review and approval of all PO's/requisitions for DME and Capex Communication & Stakeholder Management Expresses ideas simply and clearly Listens to others Promotes timely and relevant flow of information to others, actively informing relevant people of objectives, goals, plans and changes to plans Comfortable presenting information to customers / conferences / internal contacts Negotiation Able to manage internal expectations when weighted against actual manufacturers lead-times. Equally able to influence manufacturers in terms time pressures on project delivery to achieve best delivery dates.
