About the Opportunity
Our client are offering an exciting opportunity to join their growing team of System Engineering professionals to work on a range of projects for our diverse client portfolio that covers Critical National Infrastructure, National Security, Defence and Nuclear market sectors.
The team is growing fast and they are looking for a self-starting, motivated and experienced Cyber Security Consultants to operate across the full spectrum of security engineering activities in support of the design, development, integration, delivery and in-service support of complex technical projects.
You will support the delivery of existing projects and help to secure future business, enabling our client to evolve and grow within the target markets, whilst giving you the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and interesting projects and programmes across the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Government portfolio. This role provides a fantastic career opportunity, allowing you to join a growing team and develop your skills and experience under the guidance and mentorship of our senior system engineers.

Reporting to the Senior Cyber Security Consultant typical activities that you would undertake include:
1. Supporting the development of security requirements, architectures, and designs for complex systems.
2. Supporting the definition of cyber security assessment approaches.
3. Execution of a robust security risk management process adhering to defined processes.
4. Supporting accreditation activities with the client and regulating authorities.
5. Conducting security reviews and audits in accordance with defined processes.
6. Conducting security operations, including Protective Monitoring, Incident Management, Incident Response, and Incident Recovery activities.
7. Providing technical assistance to Business Development.
8. Maintaining familiarity with legislation and regulations of relevance.
Here's What You'll Need:
9. Experience providing security expertise delivering projects within a complex and dynamic environment.
10. Experience of JSP604 and JSP440 Defence standards (or equivalent).
11. Experience of the full System Engineering lifecycle.
12. Experience of the MOD accreditation process and/or principles of Secure By Design is highly desirable.
13. Experience of working on projects delivering to the UK MoD is desirable, but not essential.
14. Good communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.
15. Ability to work flexibly across a wide variety of projects as part of a diverse team of people.
