CPM is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join an existing team in Leeds managing the Asda Sampling and Experiential programme. This is a permanent contract, starting asap. £38,000 per annum DOE. Hybrid working available, Monday to Friday.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9 – 5.30 (37.5 hours a week) As the Account Manager, you'll rapidly immerse yourself in understanding every facet of your client’s business, gaining an understanding of the services and performance levels they expect from us. This is a fast-paced and dynamic role that oversees the sampling and experiential programme that we deliver for our Asda client – the role requires you to manage servicing the needs our client, lead the wider team who work to deliver the programme, and to support overall planning, implementation, and commercial success of the account.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day client management relating to sampling and experiential.
2. Effective relationship management of partner agencies such as SMG who also work on behalf of our client – supporting them to sell in sampling, experiential, and events.
3. Supporting the wider client service team with a variety of commercial and administration tasks that help us to offer quality service and solutions to client.
4. Supporting the growth already seen on the Asda account by helping to grow revenues further through proactive proposition development, proposals, and client management.
5. Take the lead on briefs and write compelling proposals for clients that meet their needs and bring to life our proposed solutions. Also support the wider account team to deliver proactive speculative proposals that unlock new opportunities and grow the account.
6. Take a digital first in your approach to drive forwards our digital innovation supporting our strategy of building a sampling and experiential programme that works as part of a broader digital ecosystem.
7. Managing activity specific budgets ensuring that activations are costed appropriately, monitored, and reconciled.
8. First point of contact for all sampling and experiential related sales queries and related administration. This includes supporting our partner agencies and working directly with brands on more complex activities.
Requirements:
9. Excellent interpersonal skills – comfortable and adept at managing multiple stakeholders and relationships.
10. Good analytical and problem-solving skills; able to adopt a creative or innovative approach when needed.
11. Previous experience working as an Account Manager or similar role.
12. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and clients in a fast-paced environment.
13. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
14. Proven track record of consistently over-delivering against targets with demonstrated tenacity
15. Commercial acumen, including the ability to manage forecasts, budgets and costings.
16. A creative thinker who can breakdown a client brief and objectives to propose brilliant solutions – with experience of crafting proposal that can bring ideas to life in a visually engaging way.
Desired but not essential:
17. Retail or agency background within shopper marketing
18. Experience within sampling / experiential / events

Travel: You must be prepared to undertake national coverage in support of client/ business needs and have flexibility and willingness to work away from home occasionally.
