Description
This role will be Hybrid working with a base location of either Breedon on the Hill (DE73 8AP) or Hope Works (S33 6RP), with regular travel required to both sites.
The purpose of this role is to provide commercial, operational, and market intelligence for the GB Cement business, enabling well-informed strategic decisions by the team. Reporting to the Business Director, you will work closely with the Senior GB Cement team to credibly assess, understand, and forecast the impact of change, translating this knowledge into real-time business solutions, with a particular focus on Commercial and Logistics workstreams across our multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop standard market templates to measure and understand economic and competitive changes.
2. Market analysis and development of frameworks to measure and analyse available information.
3. Customer Segmentation analysis to assist sales teams in comparative profitability.
4. Monitor and report relevant available Industry information.
5. Develop and maintain strategic competitor information and database.
6. Customer and product profitability analysis considering full haulage recovery, change of source of supply, depot costs, and any inter-company movement. Challenge the business on end-to-end margins and highlight any slippage.
7. Work closely with Breedon's other product lines to understand and report on industry segment changes.
8. Develop/support the KPI dashboard for Logistics Operations, focusing on 3rd party haulage costs and Own Fleet Utilisation efficiency.
9. Develop database and reporting for delivery schedule vs actual deliveries.
10. Month on Month, Year on Year, Year to date data sets to demonstrate trends.
11. Road Fleet profiling by location based on loads per day, delivery load spread, and actual fulfilment.
12. Customer-focused KPIs focusing on turnaround time, on-site loading & delivery times.
13. Review inventory management and product turns.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Previous analytical experience.
* Experience with large financial platforms advantageous.
* Industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
* Excellent IT Skills.
* Previous experience of working with Data Visualisation packages such as Power BI or Tableau.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Confidence to use initiative, problem-solve, and work as part of a team.
